The Strangest Anti-Gay Video
Firstly, I’d like to say that even though this woman is completely incomprehensible and not a word of what she says makes any sense in any language that I know—not even in terms of beat poetry—when she opens her mouth, I have to admit that this is pretty much how every bigoted, homophobic person sounds to me when they speak, as if their collective traps are rumbling out disjointed, incoherent diarrhea, and you only wish they’d do the respectable thing and head to the nearest toilet to keep the rest of us from having to witness the disgustingness of it all.
Kudos to Lincoln, Nebraska for trying to pass an ordinance that will help protect gays and lesbians—but boy do these open comment sessions bring out the most trollsome people you could ever meet. Where does this woman get all of her information from? She suggests that children with gay parents sit around and rape each other and have the lowest test scores, that gay sex causes death and the rupture of intestines (creating a “homicider” or “fatality,” in her own words), that Hillary Clinton is gay and that women become lesbians by being drugged, and plenty of other outlandish comments.
I almost feel sorry for her—I wondered if maybe she has some kind of disease or is experiencing some form of dementia—and would if it were any other subject material. Since she chose this open forum to precisely dictate why gay people are such an abomination, I am inclined to believe that she is fully in charge of her mental faculties and simply wanted to spew a lot of hate and malice into the room rather than anything else.
Oh, and as an aside—to ask a bunch of privileged cisgender men if their wives are enslaved by them to confirm that they are not? Really? Slavery is too strong a term for marriage, I agree, but plenty of women do seem to take on an extra child to care for when they marry—I know plenty of them—and would you have asked slave owners the same incredulous question expecting a solid response? Seriously? Everything this woman uttered was completely ridiculous, no doubt, but the way she just goggled her eyes at the board in front of her made me roll my eyes as hard as anything else she said.
The only thing of merit from this entire sideshow was the guy behind her cracking up. I guess that’s the only thing we can do, isn’t it? Oh yeah. We can also call bigots like this out on their s*** and stop enforcing bigoted policy. That, too.
